Introduction
The May 2018 update to MovePoint has been a long time in the making and as a resultthere are a lot of changes coming. Some are more impactful to some of our customers then others. We recommend you read through the changes listed below and make sure you are aware of them when this release happens.
Following this release you can expect to see smaller but more frequent updates to your system. This change in process will minimize the impact a single update may have on your business. We will keep you informed of new updates in a manner similar to this.

Basic Package
General
Notification Bar
A general notification bar has been added to MovePoint to provide a consistent messaging system making it easier for users to see important messages from MovePoint.
Quoting
Service Breakdown changes
The Packing Services have been included as part of the Sub-Total calculation
Warehouse fees are broken out if they are applicable to the move
Custom Services 1 & 2 have been customized for displaying on the Estimate
Time Estimation
The calculated Estimated Job Time has been modified to include the Travel Time, also, the hourly Estimate calculations have been updated for accuracy. Drive time was incorporated as well as calculating the move time based upon the inventory and not the price.
Google Drive Time Calculation
MovePoint can now be configured to use the Google Distance Matrix API. This calculates mileage and drive time using the specific roads and their typical traffic conditions. A Google API key is required and must be obtained by each user and saved in the Application Mileage & Travel settings.

Scroll down the page and look for the ‘GET A KEY’ button, then you will have to create a project to associate the API Key. Then copy the key and paste it into the Settings of MovePoint
Packing Service Multipliers
The Quote Multiplier can now be applied to Packing Services as Packing is now included in the Sub-total for Guaranteed Price services. An Admin setting has been added to enable this calculation. By default it is disabled.
Same Day Quote Change Notification
When a user adjusts the inventory for a Quote on the same day the job is scheduled, the system displays a pop up showing how those changes effected key elements to the Quote.
Inter-State Mileage as Local
An admin setting has been added to have the system treat a job’s mileage cost calculation as a Local Move when the job is determined to be within the local service mileage radius. For moving companies near their state’s lines this makes sure to not discount the mileage just because you cross state’s lines.

Referral Source
A tool to clean up referral sources has been added. This tool creates a parent and alias relationship “Parents” are referral sources that have been cleaned and vetted. “Aliases” are either other descriptors for existing parents or they are non-vetted sources entered by sales staff.
A Referral source record now shows alias relationships and combines any notes or other information about the aliases into one interface.
Fleet
Fleet Notes
A bug with fleet notes was fixed where some junk data was being stored in the fleet notes field after multiple saves.
Estimates
Substitute Employee Contact
You can now assign a substitute employee in HR when an employee leaves the company. By doing so, when an HTML Estimate is created the CSR information will be replaced with that of the substitute employee if applicable (relates to HR employee profile change)
When an Estimate is created using the PDF generation system the displayed CSR information will be replaced with that of the substitute employee (relates to HR employee profile change)
Automated Email

When a Substitute employee is assigned in HR, automated emails related to quotes and leads will replace the associated sales person’s information with the information of the substitute employee. (relates to HR employee profile change)

Move Status
The Move Status has been corrected to properly save on the Schedule single day view
A Move Status History has been created and is displayed on the Schedule single day view when hovering the mouse curser over the current Move Status for each move to track status changes by staff member and the time those changes were made
Move Day Price
The Schedule Move Day price now shows the Quote’s Sub-total value (service dollar amount) rather than total price.
Price vs Weight Toggle
One day schedule, add a toggle to the page that allows the user to toggle between showing price or weight on the crew and job schedule sticks.
Quote Time
The quote move time that is displayed on the Schedule single day view is dynamic relative to the other moves on the crew, so that the Quote move time is based upon the resources assigned and the order of the moves and the locations of each stop.
Schedule Settings
A new admin setting was created to adjust if users see Prices or Weight on the schedule’s one-day view.
Another new settings was created to allow for schedule resources to be updated in posting by the schedule if applicable.

On the HR page, allow for Employees to be defaulted as a mover or packer which applies to the scheduling of resources

Quote Info
In Posting, added a hover over display on the Quote Number, to display additional Quote details
Job Efficiency
Added a Job Efficiency metric that is based upon comparing the Estimated Hours and Posted Hours
Misc.
Moving and Packing labor have been separated in the resource posting. A new packing flag and packing hours have been added.

Basic Services
Quote and Posting services can be linked by Basic Registry Services settings.
The Posting will update to reflect the Quote pricing even after invoice has been printed, up until the Move has been finalized.
Option in the Basic Registry to break out a service as a separate line item on the HTML Estimate, otherwise the number will be included in Moving Services.
The Schedule changes can be applied to Posting when changes are made to either the crew or the trucks. Crew will not update however if any payment details have been saved in Posting.

Changed the Deposit Report so that it only shows Moves that are finalized. Gets rid of issue where payments are posted prior to the move being completed.
Bug fix where Cancellations were showing up twice on the Deposit Report and amounts were incorrect.
